APRIL 28, 2018 -- No less than the Prior Provincial of the Dominican Province of the Philippines, the Very Rev. Fr. Napoleon B. Sipalay Jr., OP himself, presided over the feast day celebration in honor of Saint Catherine of Siena, Lay Dominican, Virgin, and Doctor of the Church. The well-attended Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Louie R. Coronel, OP (Spiritual Director of the main organizers, the Young Thomasian Professionals Lay Dominican group, and pastor of Santisimo Rosario Parish), and Rev. Fr. Pablo T. Tiong, OP (Vice Rector for Religious Affairs).
The Eucharist was also offered in thanksgiving for the 407th founding anniversary of the University of Santo Tomas.
Triduum Masses were also held from April 25 to 27, celebrated by the spiritual directors of the different Lay Dominican fraternities based in UST. Meanwhile, Fr. Coronel presided over the Triduum Prayers, with the Exposition and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.
The Young Thomasian Professionals, the Parish Social Communications Ministry, and the Office of the Parish Priest wish to express their sincerest gratitude to all the celebrants of the Triduum Masses: Rev. Fr. Roberto Luanzon Jr., OP, Rev. Fr. Pablo T. Tiong, OP, and Rev. Fr. Carmelo Arada, OP (Priestly Fraternity); the prayer leaders and Mass sponsors, the UST-based Lay Dominican fraternities, namely: St. Martin de Porres Chapter (UST Hospital), Hearts of Jesus and Mary group (Parish), and the Sanctus Dominicus Lay Dominican Fraternity (Center for Campus Ministry); as well as to the different parish staff, organizations, and ministries; to Rev. Fr. Florentino Bolo Jr., OP, Vice Rector of the UST Central Seminary; Br.
