Consider God's charity. Where else have we ever seen someone who has been offended voluntarily paying out his life for those who have offended him?
This comes from one of the letters written by the Lay Dominican saint, Catherine of Siena, Virgin and Doctor of the Church.
Point for reflection: Let us reflect on the great love God has for all of us. Mankind sinned against Him, yet He still extended His hand to pay the price for us, because He didn't want us to be separated from Him forever.
Many times, we take this love for granted. As we begin the observance of lent, let us keep this great love at the center of our spiritual journey. Let us recall it in our minds and hearts at all times, wherever we may be. Christ is the center of our lives; we begin in Him, and end in Him.
