Novena masses will be held twice a day from September 22 to 30, at 7:30 in the morning and at 4:30 in the afternoon. For Sunday, September 24, it will be held at 9:00am and 4:30pm. Past parish priests as well as university officials and administrators are scheduled to celebrate.
The Parish Fiesta is on October 1, the first Sunday of the month. A living rosary and grand procession will be held at 3:00pm, to be followed by the 75th Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass at 7:00pm. The retired Bishop-Prelate of Batanes, Most Rev. Camilo D. Gregorio, D.D., is scheduled to celebrate.
The parish fiesta used to be celebrated on October 7, feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, but was moved to the first Sunday of October in order to give way to the La Naval de Manila festivities held on the second Sunday. The miraculous image of Our Lady of La Naval was enshrined at Santisimo Rosario Parish for more or less a decade after the original Santo Domingo Church in Intramuros was destroyed by Japanese bombs.
Santisimo Rosario Parish was established by decree of Manila Archbishop Michael O'Doherty dated March 21, 1942, a few months from the beginning of Japanese campaign in the Philippines during the Second World War.
